Can you test in-app purchases through ad-hoc

Like the title says. I'm trying to test an in-app purchase through ad-hoc and when it asks for my apple id and password it says either my password or user id is incorrect but it is not. I've tried numerous times but it never lets me log in to test the purchase.

    i've created my adhoc version of the app on itunes connect. I've also set up in-app purchases and have it configured to match what i have in gamesalad. Does the app need to be submitted to apple or something?

    did you create the test user account on iTunes connect? that's another step you have to do, separate from the app side of things.
