transfering a file from a mac to a PC

in Working with GS (PC)

Me and a friend are trying to collaborate and create a game. the problem is he is on mac but i am on PC. he tried (not expecting it to work) emailing me the files. so i downloaded them and all the right folders were there had all the property's but... i could not open it to edit in GS. is there any way that we could share a file between a mac and PC? is there some different way that i need to download it? thanks!

    Google convert mac to windows gamesalad and choose the first result.
