I'm new to all this and am looking for a 2D creator program ( for sprites,icons etc ) any recommendations? Preferably free or cheap!
Good luck finding a free or cheap program, Please let me know if you do find one but your best bet would be getting yourself a graphics tablet and draw what you need
Gimp or Inkscape both free
Inkscape, Gimp, an old version of photoshop.
Check out 2dgameartforprogrammers.blogspot.com.au by @SpriteAttack -- Great tutorials for GIMP over there.
Pixen if your on a mac. it's very simple but great for sprites and animating them plus FREE.
