Will this feature coming in the future?
i'm just uncomfortable with GameSalad Loading Wheel.
Honestly, GameSalad is awesome, but just Loading Wheel is ugly and Custom Loading Wheel is not looking professional either.

you can change the loading wheel with your own image 128x128 in the publishing portal.

  • @BBEnk, i just don't like custom loading wheel feature, it's not looking professional at all.

What exactly would make a 'more professional' loading wheel then?

I'd say the following would go a long way towards making it look proffesional.

Being able to dump the background stylised round cornered semi-opaque square.

Being able to load in an image sequence, rather than just a single rotating image.

Being able to place the 'wheel' where we like on the screen.

Being able to define the size and shape ourselves.

All this would allow you to have things like your main character / hero running on the spot as your loading 'wheel', or maybe if you are doing an old school 8 bit game you could have the classic 'loading . . .' with the three dots flashing, or a million other ideas.

or we could finally use the image of a poor drunk little pink elephant... ;)

@Socks, all good ideas no doubt. Those would make it more flexible and customizable for sure.

I just don't like general terms like 'make it more professional' since that is pretty much meaningless. I get requests at my design studio to 'make it look cool' and I want to shoot myself in the head! Ask 100 people what they think looks cool and you'll probably get 100 different answers! :)

    Yep, 'professional' could mean anything.

While I agree with all that, it would still be good if we could have cool professional looking loading wheels, it would also be good if we could make them look 'rad' and maybe even 'awesome' and 'gnarly'.

That's one of my absolute favorite movies from my childhood :) Right up there with The Goonies, although in a quite different genre.

@Socks, @jonmulcahy‌, at least now I have a clear and un-disputable understanding of what 'RAD' is! :)

@Dues, and it certainly doesn't look very professional!

Dealing with the wheel takes some effort...
