Happy Birthday GameBoy! (25 today!)
So, apparently, today is the 25th anniversary of the release of Nintendo's Gameboy.
I loved mine! Got me back into playing games, and Tetris (which came with it) is still my fave game ever!
There's been a few versions of the old beast since it arrived, and my personal favourite is either the original (because it' so chunky!) and the GBA SP (clam shell, backlight, fits in your pocket).
To mark the occasion, I took a pic today of 25 of my own GameBoys:
(yes, I have an obsession. Apparently).
Happy 25th Birthday old friend!

I still have my original at home... but just one of them! Nice collection.
Stop making me feel so old!
And the Tetris multiplayer mode when you had to have a cable connected between the two units! Wow I feel old to
Excellent collection, QS, impresive.
Bought one when they first came out, loved it.
I agree, the original GB and the SP are the best
You know what's even better? An SNK Neo Geo Pocket Colour
Loved the SNK Neo Geo Pocket Color, even had the Black and White version, if it would have been back lit it would have been perfect.
That's an impressive collection, QS!
I love the GBA SP, bought one off of ebay about 3 months ago and my 2yr old grabbed it off my nightstand and snapped it in half.
Bought another one and now I keep way up, up, up, high… up… high.
Cool collection you have there. I recently bought a GBA. The one without a backlight and I can't see crap on a sunny day. I bought it because I could get hold of a copy of a Japanese version of Mappy for it. I had the first type GB in the 90s but it must be in a Box somewhere in my storage. I did find the games and I play them on my GBA now. Donkey Kong is my all time favorite.
