Wondered why I'd not seen much of my old m8 so popped round to see him, he's been carefully restoring an old 1971 Lambretta 150GP and it looks great!

Very nice Darren but it's still a scooter .... If your mate is a girl it is ok cos Men ride scooters when they want to get wind on their v****** ... They are fun to ride but you don't want to tell anyone ... Bikes are better ...

I've been to a few meetings and its a nice laid back atmosphere with good company, music and of course the odd run out on the scooters, nice in the summer months.

That's cool. The community is important. The XT/SR500 club is one of the.most laid back club I know. Very helpful. That is one of the reasons I never switched to a bigger bike. And the possibility to ride dirt of course. And the fact that I will probably kill myself when I get more horse power. Same goes for my hobby car. A Baja Beetle.
I would like to get a 50s vespa one day. But they are not cheap.
