    To everyone
    What can we do better or what feed back do you have for the GS team regarding the monthly meetups?

    Is the day and time ok?

  • LumpAppsLumpApps Member Posts: 2,881

    It started at 2 am so no. For Europe it's not good. We had the old seminars at around 8 pm CET if I am correct. That was a better time.

    I also wonder if having the meeting on weekends would allow more people to join. Not sure if that's an option though.

    @BlackCloakGS‌
    So was this recorded your end? ... If so can you please post it..

    I know scottharrrules43 recorded and shared it, but the audio and resolution is unfortunately pretty poor.

    It looks like there's a tonne of interesting multiplayer shenanigans going on. Code, techniques etc..

    Please post it.

    ..As for for what can you do to improve it... I'll just echo that 2am in Europe, mid week is a little too tricky for me to be able to listen in.

    Thanks

    Jon

    @StormyStudio‌
    Yes we have a recoding and @ForumNinja is working on posting the videos (including the first meet up)

    Is any one interested in hosting a Europe GameSalad meetup? Some of the GS team would be willing to Skype in.

    It is a good setup and the time is good for me. Agree with @LumpApps mute the mic's during any presentations.

    @BlackCloakGS‌ Austin time 7pm = Australian time 10am Eastern, 9.30am Central, 8.30am Western, which probably works well for most of us here.

    @BlackCloakGS the link to register for online "If you can't join us in person, join us online" is not active on the Meetup page.

  • BlackCloakGSBlackCloakGS Member, PRO Posts: 2,250

    @StormyStudio‌ There's just just a couple edits and maybe a voiceover or two to do and it'll be ready to be published. Sorry for it taking so long!

    Yep, it should be going up Monday at the latest :) Again sorry for the delay! This has been my first experience with iMovie and I'm feeling I much better know the software now, so future meet up videos should come out faster ;)

    Hey thank you Game Salad team for the excellent software and webinar.
    I was very honored to attend the webinar and have my question answered by you guys.
    My question was about the customize collision shapes. Game Salad responded that it's on their list but not on the top. :(

    I wish it was on the top of the list.

    Here’s a few examples.
    I am making a hero character actor to interact with enemy characters.
    But the characters collide about an inch away from each other.
    I am looking for accuracy.
    I understand I can create different shape of actors and constrain it to my characters X and Y position. But that is very time consuming and also has limitations. (depending on how detailed your character is and it won’t be 100% accurate unless you use a lot of shapes.)

    Also If I want to spawn a moving obstacle that has a strange triangle shape (Like an open ladder) and have my character collide into it. It is not accurate. The character will collide into the space in front of the ladder and not actually on it. At the moment we can only change collision zones to a square or a circle.

    I really wish we had customized shapes (or even better) draw your own shape around your character.
    My game would be much faster to make and also feel more professional.

    I really wish this gets added to Game Salad soon.
    Thank you for all your help.

    Thanks a lot, I think it's safe to say you've earned yourself a ninja star.

    Hopefully it's not just me that wants to watch and learn from it.

    Many thanks
