PLEASE HELP! I can't open template files

Hi there GS crew,
I see zip files for free template all over gamesalad. I really like some of them but when I download the zip files, it only gives me a folder with game components like actors, scenes, and behaviors. There is a .gsproj file in the folder but when I click on it it says:The document could not be opened. GameSalad cannot open files in the “GameSalad Document” format. I am working on a mac by the way. Thanks for your help guys!

What version of the creator are you using? Are the templates for PC? Have you tried using the release candidate? Do you have a link to a template?
Sounds like PC templates
Try adding the file extension .gameproj to the folder name.
Yes it is a PC template so is there anyway I could open it on a Mac?
On a pc, open it and click export.

If you're trying to open a PC template on Mac and it won't open, right click on the .gsproj file, click "Get Info" then go down to "Open With" and select GameSalad.
Hi thank you for your help but I can't seem to open it. I have attached the file. It just says:The document “GameSalad-Starting-Template-Bejewelled-Clone-v1.gameproj” could not be opened. Unable to read file. I have the newest version of gs and two older versions. If you could help that would be great. Thanks
I have the same problem with the same template, i have already done all alternatives above, so if anyone have new suggestion, or could gently convert it to .gamproj would help a lot
@GamesforGood and @Moschi it appears you're wanting to open a Mac template in Windows. For instructions on how to do this, Google convert mac to windows gamesalad.
