I only have the option to use my team provisioning profile now when I have my distribution ID in publisher. This was not the case last week.

    Maybe it is broken somewhere.

Actually scratch that I have fixed it by adding it to the iPhone Configuration Utility.

that error means you have 2 of the same profiles delete one in your keychain acess and keep the other

    @bizextreme thanks :)
except now i have a new error. i removed all the dublicated certificates, and now i get this error when trying to sign:

Could not Find Bundle Name in plist
Make sure you are still logged in to the GameSalad webpublishing web site, try regenerating the app and resigning.

    then this:

    No provisioning profiles found
A provisioning profile with matching developer identity is required to publish iPhone games.

i even redid everything, iv followed many tutorials again, i even watched @Thunder_Child‌
tutorial series again, still nothing :/
very frustrated as i want to upload my game :(

    @CodeMonster‌

Your not going to like my suggestion...as it could...and may now have caused problems with future updates of existing games on the Appstore...but you could go into your keychain and delete ALL certificates...find or get a new request if certificate from certificate authority...then go get new Apple developer and production certificates...then make new provisioning profiles for your game/s.

Helped a guy with this issue once before via skype. Thats what we did. He started over. NEVER should you have more than one dev certificate and one production certificate. This process should generally only ever need to be done ONE TIME.

Sorry but for now I dont have an answer to your issue. Especially if it just came from no where. May I also add that should you also be adhoc testing to be sure and identify that profile as such with a date you created it.

    :-(.

hey, it must of had been a bug or something in my files, i don't care to much about my other two apps on the App Store, so i deleted Everything from my developer account, Xcode, and the keychain.

i started over, and it now works fine.
not sure what happened, but it decently is a shame.
Im guessing ill have to upload new versions of my current apps if i want to update them in the future?

    btw thanks @Thunder_Child‌ :)

@CodeMonster‌ it might be a good idea to find your old certificate in your trash bin and save the file. Now that you have a new certificate, you cannot update any of the apps you previously signed with old cert. you will either need to use the old cert each time your update or upload your old games with new names and bundle ids etc to the App Store with your new cert and fe treated as a new release.

@gingagaming‌ ah oh, to late :(
    emptied the recycle bin.

ill just pull my games from the store and reupload them if i want to make an update. (they're free apps, so it should be fine)

All you have to do is delete the stuff from the keychain and open Xcode and hit refresh. This will reinstall all your certs. No need to make new ones.

yep refresh in xcode as suggested by gamesalad guru and should be apples. if not you'll have to create new provisioning profiles

oh, haha wish i knew that earlier :/
thanks for the info though, ill know this now for future use.

Sorry for my mis information but glad it works for you now.

  • The_Gamesalad_GuruThe_Gamesalad_Guru Member Posts: 9,922

Yep once your certs are made the first time that info is now stored at Apple Developer. They made it easier to refresh or install the certs on another machine. No more need to delete and make new ones.

mmmm, quite annoying how apple makes everything so complicated.
i now get this error, but it doesn't make sense, i am using the certificate that is contained in the profile, not sure why this is happening when i go to upload using application loader.

ERROR ITMS-9000: "invalid code signing. The executable 'blabla.app/blabla' must be signed with the certificate that is contained in the provisioning profile". at softwareassets/softwareasset (MZltmspSoftwareAssetPackage

@Thunder_Child‌ @The_Gamesalad_Guru‌ ^^^ bump, hoping one of you may know the answer :/

  • The_Gamesalad_GuruThe_Gamesalad_Guru Member Posts: 9,922

Did you redownload your world wide developer cert. so you should have three. The distribution, developer and developer relations cert.

  • CodeMonsterCodeMonster ACT, AustraliaMember Posts: 1,078

i only have the distribution certificate? is more needed these days? @The_Gamesalad_Guru‌

  • The_Gamesalad_GuruThe_Gamesalad_Guru Member Posts: 9,922

Post a screenshot of your refresh window in Xcode.
