Tizen + appbackr roundup: thank you to all who participated!
Just a quick note to say thanks and congratulations to everyone who participated in the Tizen+appbackr promotion. We paid out over $100,000 in incentives to users in this promotion, and brought a lot of great games to the Tizen platform. We couldn't have done it without you, the GameSalad dev community, and our amazing partners (appbackr, Intel, and Samsung).

Here's to more great promotions like this one, and to GameSalad developers earning even more for making great games!
Cheers,
Dan

Great stuff. Always exciting to have this going on. And Samsung have now released their first Tizen phone in Russia!

**I like to thank GS, appbackr and Tizen for this promotion.
**
Not only for the money but for helping me finding my way back to app development.
I stopped using GS 2 years ago and since last summer I was trying to get back but everything was like in Chinese. I couldn't find the way to start again. When I got the email from GS about appbackr review of my apps it pushed me to relearn everything once and for all. I did it!!!!
I forgot how much fun was app developing and how great was doing it using GS.
Sorry for the bla, bla, bla. I just felt like sharing my happiness about being back.
Glad to have you back, @LordTarantor !
We'll done GS this was a real success and hope we have more like it.
Yes, Tizen is a joint effort between Intel and Samsung. It's sort of a consortium, I guess you could say.
Thanks very much for the promotion
Just out of interest, do you know how many games were made for Tizen? Would be fun to see how much of a portfolio boost they got numbers wise from GameSalad!
Thanks again!
QS =D
Awesome GameSalad!
Thanks GS much appreciated.
QS, it was well over 1,000 but I don't have the exact numbers handy.
No worries about an exact number!
Over 1000 is quite a boost for them - I'm sure they're very happy
First Tizen phone. http://news.yahoo.com/samsung-z-hands-first-tizen-134012809.html
Big THANK YOU to GameSalad, appbackr, Intel, and Samsung!
Thank you for this great event Gamesalad and Tizen!
I noticed this from the article about the release of Tizen's smartphone: "-the 4.8-inch 1280 by 720 pixel Super AMOLED display appears bright, with vibrant but not oversaturated colors. Inside, the phone runs a 2.3-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, with 2GB of RAM." Does that mean we should make our games 720p or should they remain 480x320?
