You should make an app with these and call it something like Patterns! Since you clearly have the ability to make them customizable, there will be endless possiblities. Sell it for a buck and kids will go nuts for it (adults too ;) ).

That might be a nice idea, I think you'd have to add some other element to it rather than just pushing patterns around . . . . ?

It's quite easy to scramble a word, so it's an unreadable evolving and oscillating pattern (much like the examples above) and you must use the sliders to bring it under control so you can read the word . . . . . might try a quick example later . .

can you share the file to the gs demo where you shuffled images to make it look like a 3d effect?

    Here you go:

    https://www.mediafire.com/?dpqqrml752lq50a

You just need to generate a full 3D rotation (360°) of your chosen object in a 3D package and render the animation off as a numbered PNG sequence.

Then replace the images that I am using with your new image sequence . . . . I used a 101 frame sequence, but you can use as many or as few as you like.

If you do use a different number of frames you'll need to change these two values (image below) to the number of frames you are using minus 1.
(e.g. so if you are using 33 frames, this number needs to be 32).

Cheers Armelline, I've not managed to come up with an idea for the caterpillar, if you've got any brilliant caterpillar based ideas that you want to donate for free . . . . ?

Never look directly into it's eyes, never ! That's how the caterpillars control us.
