Release Candidate 0.11.1.7

Fixes:

  • Fixed Android Viewer Aspect picker scaling too large on Android tablets and other devices with large screens.
  • Fixed cookbook URL for when there is an app signing failure.
  • Fixed font rendering on Android devices running KitKat (4.4).
  • Fixed Particles behavior causing Change Scene to fail when the actor is not visible
  • Updated Chartboost and Revmob SDKs to latest versions

Known Issues:

  • iOS apps that use RevMob may hang at a black screen after displaying an ad.
  • The Release Candidate version of Creator will not open if your GateKeeper settings are set to Mac App Store or Mac App Store and identified developers

If you find bugs in the Release Candidate, let us know! We'll be watching the forums and support tickets for info on this. Once we're all happy with the state of the build then we'll make it stable.

Take a moment to review the "known issues" section of the release notes before reporting any bugs. No need to duplicate reports on what we already know, right?

    I just compile and loaded my game with the latest GS build and no issue with Chartboost or Revmob... So far so good. Anyone else ????

    Amazon send me device compatibility error "The state of last use is not saved when the app is exited" - for all my GS games. Is that problem solved in this version?

    Unfortunately, this build did not solved my problems with chartboost. But those problems maybe caused by chartboost itself.

    My game feels a lot more laggy than before, but maybe be the reason is iOS 7.2, cause last time I've played it, I was using iOS 6.*.

    Just curious, which of the two ad networks have been experiencing fewer or no issues on these current versions? Revmob or Chartboost? Different problems on Android vs iOS?

    Both have issue on android
    Revmob show ads but loads very slow, it takes more than 10 seconds!
    Chartboost loads much faster but rarely show any ads

    i don't have any issue on ios

    sigh..... it sounds these bugs have been solved in the latest release or this rc. just a bit disappointed.

    I've setup my app, to have Chartboost start and RevMob interstitial during scene change.

    But my app acts wierd.

    First launch - No ads was shown.
    Second - No ads was shown.
    Third - Chartboost interstitial was shown.
    Fourth - RevMov interstitial was shown.
    Fifth - RevMob intersicial was shown.
    Sixth - Chartboost interstitial was shown.
    ...

    Gamesalad can't support show both ads provider at the same launch. If you choose chartboost at startup, you better choose chartboost at interstitial too. Revmob also.

    If this is correct why is there an option to choose either? It would be listed as "Interstitial and Startup Ads".

    Also just because a support ticket is closed (solved) does not mean an bug is fixed.

    download build 0.11.1.8 and here's what going on for me..
    Revmob shows a black screen. Previous version (0.11.1.7) works better for me.
    Chartboost is loading better than before.

    If that should include delays for timers. That it still, not fixed for my game.

    Yep. I've also tried to setup it as if self.time = number. But I've still had that problem.

    Hi Game Salad team
    Can you please give me more information on what is this fix "Fixed font rendering on Android devices running KitKat (4.4)". I had written few apps which doesn't render properly on Kitkat devices. Can you please tell me what did you fix. Any help would be greatly appriciated.
