I want my player perform an animation every 5 seconds

For this and used a timer and animation rule within it that perform every 5 seconds but nothing happens

If you say that you have a timer (every 5 seconds) and an animation behaviour in it, then the loop option for the animation should be off.

The timer works well. Just do every 5 seconds perform animation.
