Resolution question to answer all questions

Here are some questions not only myself, but others might find useful:

  1. If I make a game in Ipad landscape resolution, once its published, does apple make the app use letterbox, overscan or stretch for other devices (iphone 5/6)?
  2. If the game is made in ipad landscape it clearly cuts out some of the scene on other devices. Therefore should movement of an actor in an RPG be relative to itself (i.e. the screen moves with the actor)?
  3. Is the scene preview on Gamesalad Mac accurate of what the game will look like on different devices?

    1. how do I tell apple if to use overscan or stretch in my Gamesalad (where is the option)
    2. Does game salad make my images in stretch mode sharper? because in the preview they all become wider and blurry

    1. You can choose it in the GS Publishing Platform
    2. You can test it in your viewer...select stretch, letterbox or overscan for your project.

    1. in my opinion, overscan looks better because it only cuts off a little bit off the total screen. If i publish my game with overscan, that will be fine right?
