Get your app reviewed - My story and how I would like to help.

Hi Everyone!

So, I am a game developer like everyone here and I have something really cool to offer y'all. When I was actively making my games with GameSalad I could never get my app reviewed unless I paid a "bigillian" dollars - I know its a bit of an over statement haha. Anyway that's why I opened up my own review website, built it up from the ground up, and am now wanting to help out my fellow GameSalad developers. So, if you want your game reviewed for free go here and dont forget to submit some promo codes because we will use those to get you more downloads. I hope that didn't sound like an advertisement because its not meant to be.

Let me know if you have any questions : )

Nice :D how much traffic do you get on your site roughly ?

  • bobtheturtlebobtheturtle Member Posts: 226

@Ed_Perkin The site is only a few months old but we are getting about 2500 pageviews per month.

You should send in your "Tanks" game when its finished :)

@bobtheturtle‌, I appreciate you doing this as I know exactly what you mean about companies charging tons of money to do a review. I will def be submitting once I get more games complete and published!

This is kinda funny.you have this same exact post in the unreal forums. the only difference is that you change "actively making game with unreal " to gamesalad.hopefully this isn't a spam.(no offense)

  • bobtheturtlebobtheturtle Member Posts: 226

@johnydee Yes, I also posted it on the Unreal forums because I have been apart of that community too, for a very long time. I dont see why, it would be a problem.

So you are actively making games with gamesalad, game maker, stencyl and whatever else? Why not just be honest about it all and say you are starting a app review site and thats it? How about trying again with some honesty.

  • bobtheturtlebobtheturtle Member Posts: 226

@lovejoy Yes, I am making an app review site.
I "was actively making my games" with GameSalad, Unreal, Stencyl, and Unity.
I'm not trying to start a fight, I now know, that next time I have to list every community I have been apart of.

Thanks for the clarification, keep in mind that it makes posts like these seem like spam to others when posted on every game engine forum with a slight change like "actively making games with (game engine here)".

Anyways best of luck to you.

Would it be against the rules if I post this same thread in the working with GS (PC)?

Most likely the moderators will merge your threads and warn you about multiple posts. Best you can do is ask a moderator to move your post to a different category.

Thank you LoveJoy for the help. :) If you are out there, If any moderators are out there, I was hoping you could make this thread a sticky - on this category only? I believe the service could help more developers, longer than this post can stay afloat.

    I am legend reference above.

I'd say since his account here is several years old and he has several hundred posts, and the service he's offering is free, it's fair to assume he's a community member offering something nice rather than a spammer promoting a service. That may not be true in the other communities he's promoting this in, but it seems very reasonable to give him the benefit of the doubt here.

Thanks @Armelline for the support. :)

I know a lot of you have submitted your apps and it hasn't been reviewed but we are going to kick-it into high gear and get those reviews done. Thank you for your patience.

Neat! I haven't gone through the process of submitting apps to review sites but I do like free.

  • bobtheturtlebobtheturtle Member Posts: 226

Thank you everyone for submitting your app! If it hasn't been reviewed yet, please be patient and it will be done. Its never too late to submit your app. However, this thread will be closing because iAppAdapt is no longer a solely free service therefore, according to GameSalad guidelines must be closed.

(we still support indie developers but we provide an expedited review now.)
