Hi sweet GS devs!

We would be very honored if you could take a look at our new game Ruben is sleepy…

This time, we tried to create a true mobile experience, for any device, with short, fast paced play sessions and deeper features for more advanced players, of course in our distinctive Tvndra style.

I think we absolutely nailed it, but I would love to hear what you think!

Ruben is sleepy is made in Unity but without Gamesalad we could have never made this game! We learned so much using the GS platform making Help Volty and if we have time for a Help Volty sequel we will definitely built it on the GS platform! For Ruben is Sleepy we needed a sql php database connection with json parser and unfortunately GS doesn't support this... yet.

About the game!

From the creators of Help Volty, the award-winning iPad puzzler, comes a completely new adventure! Ruben is sleepy. When Ruben's eyes finally close, a dark pit with an endless stream of TV's awaits. Help Ruben survive his brain freezing nightmare!

-One big wordwide hi-score list from all IOS and Android devices

-Earn power-ups, like a time warping headband and electro magnetic pulse headphones

-Mind bending 80s elektro soundtrack

-Ruuble image search ! (Click the tv in the main menu to change what you are watching...)

    P.S. In your vid, that last part where you flashed the apple and android logos to show the available platforms- That's brilliant, I may be copying that in the future. ;)

    By looking at the video, I'm curious, for what part of the game you're using sql php database connection with json parser?

    hi imGua.. good question!

    if you touch the tv in the main screen you can ruuble your own images to be shown in the tv's in the game.. you submit a query and google Image Search API JSON fetches 10 images... also the highscore list is a worldwide android and ios list.. also using sql and php...

    try the game and ruuble something crazy!

    Can you explain what is ruuble?

    Did you do any marketing for this project?

    Just have played it. Gameplay is pretty clever and original. Good job! In an app, you advertise paid version and one of the selling points is that there is no ads. But I don's see any ADS on android.

    I can't understand what glasses and other objects do.

    Hm... I can put some nasty words in ruuble. Guess it's an easy way to get app banned :(

    @imGua ruuble is a word we made up our selves... it is based on google image search and yes you can put in some nasty words... but we put safesearch on so its just as nasty as using google... ;)

    • Procedural levels, every 'Ruuble' search query generates a unique level
    • improved Ruuble search engine... (google images within each level)
