Help with camera control please

Been stuck on this for a while, have looked around and can't find answers. Can't get the scene/camera control to move/work. Whats my mistake here? Have followed a tutorial but still can't get it to move.
8*( game.Player X -80- self.Position.X )
8*( game.Player X +80- self.Position.X )
8*( game.Player Y -80- self.Position.Y )

I'm not exactly sure what the screen shots are showing but I have a tutorial below that works and is pretty simple, if it fits your needs.
