Is there any way to add motion blur to the motion of an object?

    I'm new so this may be a daft idea, but how about using photoshop/Gimp to add a motion blur filter to your images. Then when you move your actor change self.image to the blurred version and then back when it's stopped moving?

    You could do two versions to cater for both horizontal and vertical...

    You could probaly get the effect with particals.
