Hey my peoples...as some of you know I have been working on a slots game...my biggest game yet...i have dozens of notes on paper with all my coding and such...spent many many evenings and weekends on it. Its NOT done but what I need is some testers to do a few things for me....

(NOTE)....this test is for Apple device ONLY "iOS)

  1. Start with the amount of coins given at start of game...play smart and see if you can win.

  2. If you lose...click "ADD" and "BUY" $6000...no more and see if you can win...play smart...obviously they win be IAP but not active...simply buy and close scene.

  3. In general provide some feed back on the current game "as is" before I continue.

Here are a few screenshots...

Please email me at thunderchildgs@gmail.com so I can send an invite...or you can PM me...or expose your email here for all the spammers to find....muahahahahahaaaaaa. I will do so tonight...late after I insert UDID into the profile.

If you dont get to me right away thats fine. I will build new profiles for a week as needed.

    Just so you know, testflightapp.com is going away in a few weeks. I got an email about it a week or so ago. They are migrating over to using the build in testflight part of iTunes Connection, which I have not looked at yet. You'll be able to invite 1000 users without knowing their UUID, so it should be a good thing!

    Wow! I have to say, that looks really really good! Excellent job! I'd be happy to help beta test here and there. Will email you!

    @jonmulcahy

    Yes this is true. Not trying to gather UDID's but I dont know how long...if there will be some stupid review process for app in beta testing prior to Apple allowing testing so I want to do this before their changeover.

    Thanks

    Hey guys,

    So I have been using the built in testflight in iTunes connect. The process kind of sucks. You have to fill out your iTunes connect info for the app then you send a prerelease build to apple and they will review it. Will take 1-2 days before it's approved. Once approved, you get peoples emails and invite them. It sends an email to them. The email will have them download the mobile test flight app then through there they will download your app. Your app on their device will have an orange dot next to the app name. After that. they can test your up for up to 30 days.

    It's nice that all I have to do is get email addresses but sucks that there's a submit process, sucks that they are only given 30 days to test, and sucks that they only allow you to invite up to 1,000 people.

    Thats BS...I sometimes make changes nightly..not every 2 days. After a submission and review from some dumbcluck that says...you dont have a splash screen...I didnt wait a half a second before I let the gamescene fade in..blah blah blah more Apple ! Of course I can always go back in time and do it the old fashioned way...with a tether. Lol.

    They are taking a perfectly good service others provide and not allowing it to become a better asset from developers. Why are companies so dang afraid of third parties? So stupid !

    Stupid I say....

    Well after it has been submitted the first time and approved, the new builds uploaded for that app should go through right away if your just doing an update to it.

    I do agree when companies take something that was good and worked well and add some things in that make it better but end up making it worse in the end.

    @KillerPenguinStudios

    Can you tell us/me do they require meta data and screenshots...app icons and a bunch of atuff just to throw a demo app to see how new 64 graphics, sprites act...I mean if its beta they may have bugs...thats what a beta is...whats to deny during review?

    I would recommend going this route rather than using the independent TestFlight service due to the following;

    "Developers still using the old, independent TestFlight service for beta testing iOS apps now have one month to migrate to the new iTunes Connect-based offering, as the company announced on Monday that it would shutter TestFlightApp.com on Feb. 26."

    No they don't. All I had was the name of the app and a small description. No screen shots, and no icon. I think they review it just to make sure it doesn't crash when people download to test.

    Here's what apple says in regards to adding Metadata to your prerelease app;

    "Once you have created the iTunes Connect record and uploaded a build, you can fill in details about the build to share with your testers. This step is optional for internal testing but recommended, since those fields appear in the TestFlight app and can help your testers."

    Oh yea, one other important thing I forgot to mention which sucks is that the people you are sending the test builds to must be running iOS 8 and above. Anything under that, they won't be able to.

    I am adding some links below for you and others to be able to better understand their process!

    https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/LanguagesUtilities/Conceptual/iTunesConnect_Guide/Chapters/BetaTestingTheApp.html

    https://developer.apple.com/testflight/

    https://itunesconnect.apple.com/downloads/Documentation/TestFlight-v09-iTC-Export-sw.mov

    The above link is to a video on this which can also be found on the page of the second link provided. Hope that helps.

    I must be doing something wrong each time I upload a new build it has to go through the approval process which usually takes one day before it will let external testers have access to it. How are you doing it it to make it available immediately?
