Hey guys,

So I am about to release a kids game and I know there are requirements for them. Just curious what they are. Also, I know I kneed to create and host a privacy policy and have a link to it in my game. Was wondering if people had examples of how they had the button in their games and where they had the button located. Just want to get an idea.

Also, I noticed that in the kids section they have age ranges that the app could fall under. (5 & under, 6-8, and 9-11) Do they allow you to say that your game can fall under all of them? Asking because there are different difficulties that would work for each group!

Thanks in advance guys!

Your privacy policy hosted on your website and is accessed from iTunes, Google Play, etc you don't need a button in your game. You will need a parental gate for Apple you can find examples of this by searching the forums or Google it.

My kids app was rejected twice for parental gate. I had a math question type of thing. I think 5+8-3=? Still rejected. Politely protested.. Rejected.
I finally took out adds and my website link. Waiting for it to be reviewed.

I used tap the top right, top left, bottom, left and bottom right of the screen parental gate set up and it passed.

I never put a parental gate in my apps, as I don't have anything to put behind it :) but a good thing to do is download all the free disney apps that target the under 5 group. They have all sorts of parental gates that should be pretty easy to implement.

Awesome!!! Thanks @colander, @gattoman, and @jonmulcahy for your input!

Also, curious if anyone has an answer for my second question?

apple has their check box system ranging from violence...to adult themes to gambiling...if when you check these boxes the rating shows 4+...you can then check the box thats says "made for kids"....dont know about Droid.
