How to use GameSalad offline

imGuaimGua Member Posts: 1,089

Recently I've stuck with my laptop in a place with not internet. When I've launched GameSalad to do some work, I've stuck at a login screen and wasn't able to do any work, cause GameSalad required internet connection. In old versions of GameSalad I was able to use offline with no problems, how can I do that now?

    That's strange. I don't know why they would require internet access accept for logging in the user to detect their membership type. I messed around with it a bit and I don't think there is a way to use GS offline.

    Log in once and after that it doesn't care if you're offline. At least not for me. If you really can't connect your laptop to the internet even for a few seconds, then you're probably out of luck.

    I work off line all the time and have never come across this issue. Using the most current version and still have not come across this issue.

    Log out and then you will.

    @imGua

    This is since Stable Release - Macintosh GameSalad Creator 0.12.20

    New in this version is account validation on Creator start. A valid account is one that was created through the GameSalad website, and has completed email validation. If you are having trouble logging into Creator, please be sure you have email validated your account. If you have not, reset your password, and it should validate your email that way. Validating your GameSalad account on start is necessary to access the full suite of features associated with your account permissions. Once you log into Creator using your GameSalad account credentials, you will stay logged in on that machine until you manually log out, so no need to do it every time. Once you have logged into Creator and your account has been validated, you may use Creator offline for up to 3 days before needing to log in again.
