I got this app called PewDiePug, having the keyword PewDiepie and himself having launched an app yesterday -
it received 2000 new installs on iOS within one day yesterday..
!@#$% yeah!
To bad i had to rename my one game called Pewdiepie to Brofist and forgot to re-add the keyword pewdiepie.
But its insane... and a lesson on how important your keywords are they really can carry you up.
Doing now ASO optimization for my new game Orcs.

Awesome! I always pick keywords carefully. You can always go back in your other game and update keywords right?
Yeah but an update needs 7 days to be approved, and also they might not allow the keyword anymore lets see i try to get it for the brofist
@bigdave do you use any kind of tools to pick your keywords?
@jorkos so far i was really sloppy and just picked by feeling. i now hired a marketing agency to do it for my new app. 50 Dollar and they do research and optimize store text and keywords. The app (orcs) right now does 10 Dollar a day so lets see whats the effect of ASO optimization.
I think apple cut down on keyword misuse, so if the keyword has nothing to do with your game they will simply reject it or just delete the keyword from your app.

having some other keywords in-between, sneaky!
pie,superstar,clicker,die,pugs,pew
i know keywords are put together in all possible combinations for the search
sometimes you have to be sneaky to get the love

Thats the result of the 50 dollar investment, formatting ( i did not knew you can do this)
and a few picked keywords. I put it into google play descr. today.
btw. it are now 7000 installs over 3 days.. I wish i would have the old ad frequency in but still its making money

@Socks, "currently" the plural form will also catch the singular on Google SEO. But not the other way round.
I say currently because the algorithms constantly change.
