Cannot copy and paste objects in scene editor?

I'm embarrassed to ask this since it seems like such a no-brainer, but for me there seems to be no way to copy and paste objects in the visual scene editor. Am I missing something? I did a search of the forums for variations of the string "copy and paste" but found no threads regarding this- which leads me to believe that either I have a buggy build or am perhaps crazy. I can't imagine that something so basic as being able to copy and paste objects would be impossible.

    You can hold down the option key and drag an actor on the stage to make a copy. I'd have to guess Command C and Command V would copy and paste too, but I usually do the Option+Drag so it may not...

    Edit: I just tested Command C and Command V and they DO NOT work on the stage, that is certainly not intuitive! :)

    Thanks. Command-c and v don't work for me but the option drag does. I thought I tried that but guess not.
