Hi, I'm a new user of Gamesalad and I have a problem which is very annoying. I create a new scene with an actor at the center of my scene. But when I try a preview of my scene my actor is at the left bottom of the screen!! Even if I move this actor in the editor, it doesn't want to move where I want. I know some game builders which are more easy to learn and I'm very frustrated to be bloqued here. Can you help me please?

If you're using the Windows version you might want to read this thread:

Does your actor have any rules or behaviors? If so, what happens when you drag a new actor with no rules or behaviors onto the scene and click Preview?

    Hi Jamie,
thanks for your answer. I have done what they say in your link and it works... a little!
I think that there's a problem perhaps a bug with actors when you do special things. I mean sometimes when you do a non uniform scale (with the handles) or if you give a number with a comma to your position (ex: x=150.5) you will find your actor in the wrong place. not nice!
You correct this mistake by writing a correct position and by writing a uniform scale on your actor.
I will continue to work on it and I will try to understand better.

Hi Tatiang, My actors have no rule and no behaviors. Look at this screenshot.
1/ I drag and drop my actors on the scene. At the preview everything is alright.
2/ I scale one of these actors
3/ when I launch the preview this actor is on the wrong place! pow!

ps: I actually work on a release version but I had the same problem on a stable one (ouch!

OK I have find a very interesting thing.
So I scale an actor and then it goes on the wrong place. But I notice that when you scale a shape it also change...the position of the actor. And sometimes you create values with some commas (ex: 150,5). Gamesalad doesn't like it! not at all!
you must change the value by typing one without comma (ex: 150)
    not very cool!

@lamydelachapelle, I don't use the Windows version but I believe part of the link I provided did address commas instead of decimals for international users. Did you see that? Sounds like you might still be experiencing something to do with that.

@lamydelachapelle , it definitely sounds like your problem is related to the region settings. Look again at the link that @jamie_c pointed out and change your regional settings of windows accordingly.
