Let me get this straight...

As a free user, I know that GS puts ads in my game, but do I get to put other ads in my game to get revenue? I want to avoid making my game paid because that will obviously decrease downloads significantly. We gotta be realistic, having ads on your game is a huge portion. I mean I have to make back the 99/yr for apple and 29/month for GS pro.

As a Free user you can NOT place your own ads in a game. See the chart at the bottom of this link for a comparison of features:

If you're a free user, you cannot put ads in your game since those options aren't available for free users. If you're pro, you can put ads in your game, and the ads GameSalad places inside your app will be removed.

Oh jeesus, so the only way is to make the app paid then?? I'm sorry, but ads are too big of revenue for me to put off. The 99/yr is already difficult to overcome in this competitve app market already. Thanks, but I'm going to learn swift

No need to be sorry... ;) Good luck with Swift.

How much less competitive will the app market be when you learn enough to release an app?

Hmmm....I actually make more charging for games than ad revenue. Much more.

In fact I made a good 400% more with paid apps...in just a couple days than almost a year of ads..

I might add neither has paid for my out of pocket expenses to make said games. It's all about fun now for me.
