Has anyone done this with their game?

Done what exactly, created a commercially available cabinet game? I'm sure I've seen on the forums that some users have built there own cabinet, but that was just for home use.

This is commercially built. If not its one hell of a garage built 1. But this was seen at arcade place

I've gotten a few offers here in Louisiana. I was told my games could be in a cabinet but I need an .exe version of my file or a html5 version that can be loaded to the cabinet. :/

I've seen this, doodle jump and a few other "mobile" games in cabinets at Incredible Pizza. Doodle jump was like 10 feet tall. Highly oversized with giant screens.

@FINNBOGG, yeah that cabinet in the picture is certainly commercial. I was curious what exactly you were asking. Has anyone been involved in a commercially built cabinet or has anyone just built a cabinet in general... :)

I've seen that exact cabinet in my local Dave and Busters.

Why would anyone pay money to play a game they can play on their phone for free? Especially one as basic as flappy bird? True, when I was a kid I spent months putting every penny I could find into one of these:

But that at least makes sense.

(I kicked serious ass with Cammy.)

Defender ate lots of my allowance!

Put it in a arcade where kids get tickets to trade for toys. Kids don't care if it's free. They want the tickets.

    I love Cammy!

And luckily there are still people that would rather play a cabinet then on their phone and I'm one of them. I go to Dave & Busters often and will spend at least $30 on games.

I remember watching my cousin Chris roll one of these. At the end every hit is a free life and everything goes completely nuts ! After it rolled he walked away...like a boss !

@Thunder_Child, one of my best friends got good enough to roll it too, it was crazy! I was never THAT good. :)

I think I had about 50 unexplained absences during a school year playing this at the local bowling alley. I could complete the game without losing a life....wish someone had paid me for that skill. lol. :)

Yea me neither. However....sit me in front of an Atari 2600...slap in Asteroids. I "used" to be able to roll that.

    Contra 1 life.

Uh Roll? Does that mean like using an entire roll of quarters or what?

  • CaptFinnCaptFinn Member Posts: 1,828

I think that means rolling the zeros. Full possible score.

  • jamie_cjamie_c ImagineLabs.rocks Member, PRO Posts: 5,772

Yes, roll as in get the max score and roll it back to all zero's again.

  • Thunder_ChildThunder_Child Member Posts: 2,343

Yep back in the day expected not just an end to the game as in losing lives...but actually getting a score so high you...like pinball...tilt the machine.

I used to roll Pinbot back in the day, but the max high score displayed was 9,999,999, so the game would have my initials for all four high scores and all the 9s. B)
