OS X El Capitan is blazing fast!

I have been using the latest OS X El Capitan Beta on my Late 2013 Mac Book Pro.

As advertised my robust applications like Maya, Photoshop, audition and after effects are opening almost as soon as I click their icons. So far I am impressed.

Also, GameSalad appears to be working fine.

Lastly, I am looking forward to the updated Apple TV with a potential App store and redesigned remote/ game controller. This will be a huge opportunity for GS Devs.

Truthfully the mobile platform requires a different type of game design and approach to game making. With Apple TV we can create more robust and immersive games! I am sure GameSalad will support Apple TV when it comes out in the next one to two months.

What do you guys think?

Personally I hope GameSalad don't waste time supporting a platform that very few users will actually create apps for. There are a lot of other more pressing things needed before that. It'll take at least 6 months before the new Apple TV has anywhere like a big enough install base to justify the time spent updating GameSalad. If they make the App Store compatible with older Apple TVs, though, that's a different matter.

Interesting view @Armelline. Thanks for the response. That's something that I did not consider. Even so, adding support for Apple TV like they did with Fire TV would be a much welcomed feature and would introduce a new platform to GS Devs.

Honestly, I would like to see GS add more advanced features to Game Salad. Presently, I have started to learn how to code using Xcode because of this reason.

I think that they are making the right moves by first focusing on a stable version. The questions is how long it will take for the GS team to implement more advanced features while making GS more stable. I hope that big changes are on the way in the near future as GameSalad is a good program with a solid group of Devs. Simply put, Game Salad can be even more amazing than it all ready is.

    Only time will tell.

Either way, i'll be along for the ride. :)

I have to agree and disagree. It might take some time before there is a decent user base indeed, but If gamesalad will take more then 6 months to support it, we are already too late to benefit from the non saturated market. Those 6 months are actually great to develop or port a good game to this new console. I don't think people are looking forward to play poor mobile ports on their promising new apple tv.

Apple TV shouldn't be as slow moving as Amazon TV and ugh Tizen.

Nope, I don't think so either, but no one knows for sure. If it turns out to be quite a decent platform to develop games for, there might be a lot of potential here. Maybe it will also support controllers and such, but then again we don't know that yet:)
