@robertkdale I sometimes use gamesalad on my macbook pro running El Capitan, and i didn't encounter strange behaviors. I normally work on my mac pro, so again I'm not a 100% sure if it's 100% safe to upgrade if you want to work full time on it.
The current El Capitan beta is the GM, so it's unlikely to change before release (though Yosemite saw several GMs iirc so it's possible this won't be the final build).
GameSalad runs well enough for everyday use, just a few cosmetic bugs.
Nothing like the nightmare upgrading to Yosemite was.

Ive only just recently upgraded my main machine to Yosemite! It took a while to ensure everything was fully compatible Issues included GameSalad and After Effects. Whilst my main machine runs Yosemite great, my older 2008 iMac slowed enormously with Yosemite. I certainly would wait for an official release and GS to confirm its compatible before upgrading unless you have a spare machine to play with.
I like to live on the edge! I find I very rarely encounter issues. With Yosemite only GameSalad caused me issues, but boy were those issues! El Capitan is the OS that Yosemite wished it was. I never liked Yosemite much, but most of my gripes (sluggishness etc.) are fixed with El Capitan.
I never had any issues with After Effects (or any of the CC suite) so I guess I got lucky!

Thats great to hear

I'm running CS6, CC should be completely compatible with Yosemite (although CS6 is with a small update! Which I never knew!). I can't warrant the monthly fee to switch from CS6 to CC yet.
@ginagaming Once I take into account Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom and After Effects, TypeKit, the monthly fee is a bargain. I've still not spent what buying Photoshop outright would have cost! I was very skeptical about CC when they announced it but I'm a complete convert now!

I think @Armelline is running GameSalad on El Captain and reported some bugs but said its useable
I stay away from beta software until all my needed software supports it.
I'll probably wait a little before upgrading.
