I am making assets in Blender for my Trillipede game now andwill also be broadcasting my GameSalad work later on.

If you want to have a look:
I'd love to hear from you in the chatroom.

(Mods, I hope I don't break a rule by posting this because I am now not working in GameSalad at this instance)

@LumpApps I peeked in, but where is the commentary? :)

Keep us posted. Would be great to see more people stream game development, especially GS.

Thanks! It's not possible for me to use a mic at the moment so you'll have to wait a bit to hear my smooth voice ;)
    I'm broadcasting again now...

As it turns out for now, and considering my knowledge of broadcasting is limited, Twitch has a lot of hiccups. Even with the lowest settings on my account it still lags every 20 secs or so. So I am looking for another option... Youtube Live Streaming. So far it works way better.
From what I understand Twitch TV has limited servers and the fact that I am in the Netherlands doesn't seem to help. YouTube has lots of more server power and locations which might be why it works better. At least that is something I read. I tried Elite Dangerous and even a high performance game like that streamed flawless...

I'll be broadcasting on and off for testing purposes. Later I will try and make some sort of schedule. If anyone likes to watch please do tell me about the quality in the chat available.
Often it works for me but not on client PC's in the US for example so without feedback it is hard to know how it goes.

As a new streamer on Twitch you are condemned to low bandwidth until your follower/viewer count goes up.

Ah, interesting! Stupid in my not so humble opinion because having lag makes users leave. I'm not expecting 100s of viewers which would make it impossible to ever get a better quality.
    Thanks for the info!

Yes, the chicken and egg situation. It is especially bad if the resolution is important, like in game design streaming.

Suggestions to get followers: Have a fixed schedule, then keep the interesting development stuff for the stream, talking viewers through your development process and thoughts. Talk, even when no one is watching, it is practice and viewers who happen to stumble in are more likely to stay. Engage with the chat, respond to questions. Be an entertainer. :)

Also, a good microphone is more important than screen resolution. If it is not easy on the ears, people won't watch.

The GS staff was asking me about doing some Twitch broadcasting building a game in .gs. Hasn't got off the ground yet. I keep missing your broadcast...

@Hopscotch Good info. As said I'm still in a testing face and not able to speak at the moment. I have a reasonable (I say reasonable because @Lost_Oasis_Games is watching ;) ) condenser mic. And I do love to talk and am a performing hobby vocalist so the entertaining part going to be alright ;)

@Lost_Oasis_Games One thing I noticed on Windows but it might be better on mac is that the little expression pop ups don't show or make the broadcast flicker in Open Broadcast. Let me know if you need help setting it all up.

I'm sure you'll do great! Streaming audio is never great no matter the mic quality. A decent condenser will do fine. You can always route it through an audio program and throw on some EQ to compensate for any deficiencies. Look forward to hearing you!
