First Guru Live Broadcast this Sunday!

It's been a while since my Radio broadcasting days, but I'm ready to give this a go. Got all my technical ducks in a row, fingers crossed. Since my Partner @RP will be well hung over this Sunday, I will be going it alone. Which is probably a good idea since I'm still getting my feet under me on this and still new to the Wirecast studio software.

This week I will talk about developing a creative philosophy. I'm going to talk about how I developed mine and my influences, Walt Disney, Pixar and Charlie Chaplin. I took a bit from each of this people and formed my own creative world view. We'll talk about their lives and how they faced their creative challenges and the mentalities that put them over the top.

Hope you can join me live but if not, It will be auto DVR'd and you can replay it anytime after the broadcast is over and the video is processed by Youtube.

Simply click on the Guru link in my signature to go to the live feed on Sunday February 14, 2016 1:00pm est US / 6:00pm London.

    Thanks everyone! I thought since we focus so much around here on the mechanics of game making this might be a good change of pace talking about the creative side.

    Looking forward to the replay... 04.30 Monday morning is a bit early for me, especially after Valentine's Day. Although, who knows, I may still be up? >:)

    YouTube. I'm going to do some tests this week to see why I couldn't see the chat.

    Normally it's on the right in your broadcast window. Let me know when you are testing if you want. Than I can chat a bit so you can see if it works.

    I was previewing the broadcast page and save the chat window but none of the comments were shown. Not sure if it was becuase my I was using two monitors and the browser wasn't the active app as I was using wire cast on the main monitor.

    Yes it went well. A few minor things. One was the chat the other I forgot to turn down the volume on a one minute clip I talked over but I expected a few glitches. Last I looked there were 40+ views yesterday. Anyone wishing to see it just go to my guru YouTube.

    @Lost_Oasis_Games I tied to watch the broadcast yesterday on my iPad, but had no audio. I had just upgraded to iOS 9.2.1 so I thought that was the problem. So then I updated the YouTube app. Still no audio. I was so disappointed. :'(

    Just now I gave it a try on my iMac. Still silence? For some reason I dragged the playback head to the middle and bingo! There you were, audio and all. :D

    I found the beginning at 10 min 40 sec. Maybe you could mention this at the top of the thread and also in the YouTube description. I wouldn't want others to give up and miss out. ;)

    I think you can set the playback start point in the settings for the video in YouTube. I've never tried it, but I've seen it. :)

    Yeah, I started the stream too early to see how the stream was performing. This week I will start it just before.
