    Hey everyone! Got some action shots to show!

    (BTW, if you can't tell I'm on the side of keeping improving Gamesalad as a serious developers tool, not only an educational focus :) hopefully it still has all the current features when I get ready to publish this game! Come one @bdusing @CodeWizard @dgackey @ForumNinja we know you believe in us, lot of great stuff is being made with this engine, get creative and figure out some ways to make it work for everyone ;) )

    EDIT: Hope that didn't sound snarky, appreciate all the work the GS team does for us and know they are a creative bunch, just want to encourage them to keep being passionate about what devs are making with their tool as they are and have been.

    try a lil harder will ya ;) all jokes aside this is beyond incredible! if this isn't another example of how amazing GS can be as a professional (not just educational) tool then I don't know what is. GS can obviously do wonders and continues to be the easiest to use IMO. I think games like this need to be put into the spotlight to drown out the noise from the more amateur games that may have tarnished the reputation in the past (which is subjective in many ways but I think the mobile gaming community isn't aware that games of this caliber are even possible). Seriously this could be footage from a hit Super Nintendo game and I would never tell the difference

    Love the bouncing little ghosts, seems like a combination of pac man ghosts and The Flood from Halo.

    Controls looking very precise and the animation switches look clean. IMO those are some of the most important aspect of a good feeling game. Looks fun to play, can't wait to see more!

    Glad you like them, as that is the one piece of enemy artwork I did myself. Will probably get touched up and improved later by my bro.

    Thanks! Using a virtual d-pad on the left for movement. Then touch and swipe controls on the right for actions. I feel that swipe controls are much more precise to pull off than buttons on a virtual screen. Right now the controls are super smooth, but do take a little getting used to. Part of that is the case with touch screen controls, but need to get it into people's hands soon for some feedback.
    And yeah, I'm pretty excited about how my brother has been doing with the animations and making sure they transition nicely. Thanks for the comments.

    very nice
    is the loading bar part of the image? (animation)
    or a scaled actor?

    I assume you're talking about the bar at the bottom. It's a little tiny rectangle using the replicate behavior. I have found the smoothest results for bars using this method. The health bar is the same as well.

    Just wanted to say this is looking fab!

    I particularly like the control/firing system. It looks like (and correct me if I'm wrong) that you fire in the direction you set - I noticed you push up and then fire to fire upwards, and I imagine small nudges left or right will allow you to shoot in those directions while standing relatively still.

    Seems very intuitive, and the graphics are ace too :)

    Looking forward to playing this!

    QS =D

    Thanks Sheepy! Yep aiming is set by the directional d-pad, and I'm liking how with little nudges, flicks, or swipes you can change the direction without moving the character more than a pixel or so. It's also nice because on the right side of the screen you control the direction you role in with swipes, so the character can use that to move backwards to create distance without having to turn around and change where he is aiming.
