Will my game be suspended if I use a Nintendo character?

I'm thinking of using this 8-bit ghost in my game

Problem is it's a Nintendo character and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do that.
I don't want to wake up one morning to find that my game has been banned because if this.
What do you guys think?

Is there anyway I can get a license to use this image?

contact nintendo and kindly wait for an answer which will never come.

Its only a two frame animation you can easily modify it to be similar but not the same

Yes, I was thinking of doing that but I'm not sure if that too will cause some issues.

Make your own ghost. That's the only correct answer to this.
Don't use it, don't ask Nintendo (they will neither allow nor license it).

I think I'll just pixelate one of the ghost images I already have.

Can't you just make it more square and carry on? Just modify it slightly.

Intellectual property is protected by copyright law. It's best you do your own graphic.
