I'd have to also say Ocarina of Time although Doom certainly blew my mind (and rattled my nerves) when I first saw it in college (yep, dated myself there...).
Dating myself too:
Arcade PacMan, Donkey Kong, Tempest, things of that era; too many to mention. And for home consoles, Atari 2600 Gravitar and Berzerk. More recently, CoD MW3 and BO2 were pretty good.
Borderlands series and FF7 - 14!

My favourite video game? Recording animation created in MacroMedia Director from the screen of a Mac IIcx via a ColorSpace II card out to a Sony VHS VCR. Beat that!

Quite a lot of diversity here! I still need to give Myst a try.
