Upload not uploading

in Working with GS (Mac)

On trying to upload an update to an already published app, i'm getting this error in application loader-

ERROR ITMS-90167: "No .app bundles found in the package"

Has anyone seen this problem before?

    Found it. Apparently it's a common problem in Sierra so don't update.

    Now I'm screwed & will have to try to upload it on someone else's computer..

    @smurfted I think the solution was posted in the forums somewhere.

    Just use the Appliction Loader that comes with XCode. Have the latest XCode, then call up the application loader from the menu.

    Yep, after manually loading in x-code 8 i used its app loader..
