Getting GS Viewer to work on Android device

I'm trying to preview a game my son designed on our Mac with his Samsung Galaxy 3. I installed the GameSalad Viewer app but it isn't seeing Creator. I followed these instructions to enable Developer mode on his phone: http://help.gamesalad.com/gamesalad-cookbook/testing/ad-hoc-test-on-your-android-device/4-03-preparing-your-android-device.

Any other advice for getting this working? I've tried connecting via WiFi and USB. Does it make a difference which Platform I'm developing for in Creator (currently iPhone 6 Landscape)?

Can you tell I'm new to Android? ;)

    In my experience, using several different Android devices, this is an issue without resolution. Nowadays, I just do ad-hoc builds for Android.

    If you find a way around this, do let me know, as it is quite annoying.

    make sure the adb bridge is set in creator preferences. Also, be sure the mac is connected to your router via wifi. Sometimes routers have trouble crossing wife to hardwire devices.

    Tried WiFi, installed Android Studio and the separate sdk tools (which won't open properly in terminal because they are deprecated), set the path for the adb bridge, changed the phone to charging mode, disabled SD card storage, and on and on but still nothing. Oh well.

    Uh... right when I decided to give up I gave it one more shot. I made sure that the phone was set to Charging in Developer Options, that the SD card was disabled and -- the final straw -- turned on USB Debugging. I swear I had those three things set already but... I don't know.

    @pHghost It's working.

    Good to know, thanks!

    Though it sounds like a nightmare to set up! :smiley: Almost more complicated than doing an ad-hoc.

    Sometimes the adb bridge doesn't start in the background. I've had to go in terminal before and start it. It can be finicky.
