Error "Invalid App Store Icon. The App Store Icon in the asset catalog can't be contain an alpha cha

I pulled my hair trying to fix this error .. i m trying to upload update to one of my app using application loader - there is consistent error in the app store icon image

ERROR ITMS-90717: "Invalid App Store Icon. The App Store Icon in the asset catalog in 'EKG Trivia.app' can't be transparent nor contain an alpha channel."

the icon image on iTunes connect is jpeg does not have alpha channel and it is the same image i used for the first app when it was published .. not sure if there has been change to publishing since then ? anyone has similar issues thanks ?

    Make a PNG without an alpha channel.

    i had the same problem when i put my first game up.

    • turn off the alpha channel so it doesn't contain transparency.
    • make sure the icon is the specified (square - 1024x1024 i think it is) size and save as a .png file, and upload that.
    • if you included an icon in your gs package, you don't need to upload one on the apple developer site.
