Broken Project **Help

in Working with GS (Mac)

Everything was working fine, then got an unexpected crash (Gamesalad program)... now I receive this error message when opening the file: "Broken Project - The project is in a broken state and may not function correctly"

Some scenes still look/operate as expected, other scenes have missing graphics, etc.

**If I try and delete any actors, Gamesalad crashes


Please advise if possible, thanks!

    there used to be a support chat icon where you could get a pretty quick response for issues. seems to not be in the new forum (or doesn’t show on my phone, anyway).

    Do you have a backup copy and does that work or does it give you the same error?

    Unfortunately I don't have a backup :(

    Ouch. It's really important to make incremental backups. I work for about fifteen minutes and then I save a new version (flappy words v1, flappy words v2, flappy words v3, etc.). By the time I'm done building an app, I have a hundred or more files. That means I can always go back and only lose fifteen minutes of work.


    I hope someone can help you but this is also a really tough lesson.

    Had you ever published it to the publishing portal? If so you can get a copy of it back from there I believe.
