Physic Body Editor Work?
I was trying to reproduce Jamie's tutorial, to move the chain. But even trying several times it didn't work. So I tried to create other shapes, and I realized that the collisions in gamesalad are totally different from the ones I put in the program.
There are so few steps to take that I don't think I'm wrong. Maybe it doesn't work well with windows? Although Jamie's project works fine when I open it.
Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

I used the Mac version so I'm not sure if/how it works on a Windows machine. I believe the Physics Body Editor I've linked below offers a free trial and this is also supposed to work with GS (I've never used it) maybe this one would work better for you.
Thanks for the reply, there are no .json files in your project could you please share them? I would like to try to create a project by inserting those, to understand if yours work, I don't know if it makes sense?
If there is a free trial I can also try this program thanks!
I can't try, he says "trial expired, you have already tested Physic Editor on this computer"
Maybe I put it on months ago but then I never used it: D
Hi, below is a download link for the full source of the project. All images and .json files are included. I hope it helps.
Thanks Jamie I tried to recreate a project from the beginning, and I also opened your project and replaced a link in your chain, with a link created by me with the same characteristics and your .json file.
The result in both cases is the same, the chain explodes, even if I just put the ring close to the chain.
Since I want to make sure I've done everything right, tomorrow I'll do the project one more time. Too bad because custom collision forms would be useful for many things.
edit
I also put rectangular shape to the chain link in your project and then put the collision shape you passed me, without touching anything else. The chain explodes
Very strange, I wonder if there is some difference between the Mac and Windows versions that would cause that to happen?
This is a chain link json created by me, could you see if it works on mac?
Downloaded, going to check it out...
I replaced my json file with this one and it works fine on my Macintosh. I can only wonder if there is some difference between the Mac and PC handling of custom collision shapes. Maybe it's time to contact tech support. If you do and you/they want any of my files just let me know. I've attached my updated file here that is using your new .json file.
Thanks a lot for the availability Jamie, I tried the file and it works.
So I know I have created the file correctly. Something happens when it is inserted into the project. Now I write to gamesalad technical support
Hi @adent42 I wanted to report this probable bug to you. I have opened a ticket I think, but I have not received notifications or replies, I do not know if the ticket was successful.
It's probably in the system if you used the blue chat bubble or our support site. It just take a while to get to them. Not having looked at the ticket the only big bug I know about is that the HTML5 engine doesn't like single polygon custom shapes for some reason. (It works on multi-shape polygons just fine!)
Yes, I filled out a form, only not receiving an open ticket request notification on the email, I did not understand if it was successful. Then I'll wait, unfortunately apparently it's not just with html5. I use Gamesalad with windows and as mentioned above the forms don't work properly. They are unusable. Thx adent42
