New to the transition. Have a question about 2.0

When I started using gamesalad. I started by watching the great T-Shirtbooths tutorials. So all i know is how to use the Mac version. Im back now and want to learn more about using the web based 2.0. I have some porjects from back inthe day. some " mygame.gameproj files. Can those be imported , worked and edited in 2.0? Or do i have to import the assets and "recode" everything?

Old projects can be used with the new Creator. Publish the project with either the Mac or Windows version and they'll show up in Creator 2.0.

publish? you mean publish to the arcade? publish to where? sorry I may be a lil more confused than i should be. your saying publish it somewhere so the 2.0 has access to it?

Publish your game as if you were going to make an app. You don't actually have to generate the app, just upload it to your portfolio.

That make the game available to Creator 2 to import.

We're working on streamlining that flow for a future release, but that's what we got for now.

2.0 uses your online portfolio to store the projects. So if you publish something from a desktop computer to your online portfolio it is then available in 2.0 to be edited. Also if you create something from scratch in 2.0 you'll need to use your web portfolio if you want to download and save any of the files locally on a desktop computer.

If you're interested I did a couple tutorial series using 2.0, they might help you understand how it works.
