will the LUA-FREE GS creator have broken updates?
its a common thing that GS updates break our games in one way or another or generally cause inconveniences.
is this a lua issue? i'm hoping the updates on the new upcoming native engine will free us from this and give us more stable upgrades. i cringe at every update.

In my experience, when your gameplay is effected, it's usually down to your code structure.
But remember, the product still is beta. Things will not always be perfect
There was a time aaaaaaaaaaaages ago, where there was a massive update that changed a lot of back end stuff (to speed up the long load times we used to have) that messed up some stuff a little. But nothing 10 mins of fixing up (mainly to get rid of workarounds I had put in to make things work on the older versions) couldn't solve.
Every single time there is an update, I see people on the forum saying how their game has broken because of said update. I guess we just structure our "code" differently, cos I never know what all the fuss is about
I always hear other SDK's having this problem, but with GS, I've almost never had an issue!
Procrastination is my hindrance.
U have errors on ur current game that the update says it will fix. So u update to fix said errors but pick up new error with the new update that fixed ur old errors. This is why I had to update several times prematurely. (That didn't sound right)
The bridge has several different parts and you have a set of materials. One or two of the materials on your list aren't exactly what you needed, but the delivery of the new materials that do meet your criteria don't arrive until a month from now, so you have to make due because this bridge needs built.
So you build your bridge using the less-than-desirable materials, taking into account their weaknesses in your design so the bridge continues to function the way it should.
A month later, the new, stronger parts arrive, and you want to incorporate these better supplies into your design. So you quickly remove the old ones, and put in the new without any adjustments.
Except your design was built using the less-than-ideal pieces in such a way that every piece of that bridge touched those in some way - so you have to adjust your entire design to incorporate the new stronger materials. The bridge starts to fail so you're forced to properly diagnose and correct the design issues in order to move forward.
This, in a nutshell, is software development.
If your looking for forum wars, look elsewhere lol
ANYWAYS,
Yea I've used many many betas software and updates never broke my projects like gs does. I think things will be bett when the lua drop arrives
For the record FBS cannot do anything to your posts so claiming hes trying to silence you is simply nonsense.
I, on the other hand can shut down the thread and delete and modify etc…. So Lose the personal attacks and get back to the topic or I will shut down the thread.
That being said none of the moderators do this unless its nessacary to keep the forum running as gamesalad wants it.
Cheers
this forum should be friendly and awesome
