    Yeah, let me be 100% clear-ish.

    This is very likely a Pro-only feature. We will also likely provide a free tier of usage so that Pro users won't have to pay more to use the feature. However, if your game becomes more popular then you'll likely have to pay more based on usage. It gets more expensive for us to host your servers and whatnot as your usage grows.

    Notice all those likely's? That's because we're not 100% decided on this yet. One thing we are clear on though it that it won't be a free feature.

    Just my uneducated guess but I'd expect it to be pro at a minimum. I'm guessing multiplayer will require some kind of server infrastructure that'll need paying for one way or another.

    I say 'at a minimum' because I can also imagine the possibility of some kind of rental or subscription to use server features, similar to how Corona Cloud works (if I'm allowed to mention that).

    I might be WAY off the mark but I can't see how they can offer those features to every single developer completely free of charge.

    Also, I kinda just see multiplayer as Pro feature, and definitely one that will drive more devs to go Pro.

    I can't imagine such an important feature that is so highly sought after will be included in the free version, but we'll have to wait and see to be sure.

    Yes. I think that it would be only for PRO members. I'm 90% sure of that... But I hope I'm wrong. Because it would be a a big disepointment for me and I even have to change engine for making my game I'm working on. It would would be 100 times better with multiplayer.

    And I think many people agree that they choose gamesalad because it's easy to make games with,you don't need to know any programing language as C++ and it's free.

    That's a pitty to hear :( I really hoped I was wrong. Maybe need to learn C++ and xcode... Does anybody have a good tutorial for that...

    Actually I think its a very valid question, surly this feature will be pro only, but will it be free? or will we need to pay fees to use the servers?
    I guess the answers will come when they'll come.

    @brickamator this was answered in this thread already. It's for pro only, there will be tiers of sorts for pro usage.

    This sounds perfectly reasonable and I look forward to the day where I have to pay more based on usage. That can only mean I am doing something right! :)

    Agreed - I'd be more concerned if this was intended as a free feature as I don't see how that would have been sustainable. Sounds like a solid plan so far :-bd

    Asynchronous means turn based.
