@SingleSparq I have tested it on GS 0.10.3 and 0.10.4. Haven't had any issues opening the projects. What GS version are you using?
Was using the nightly but changed the project to use latest stable build 10.4a.

@beefy_clyro @SingleSparq games saved in Nightly builds have different extension, ".gsdailyproj". To open those projects in GS CSE you'll need to change the extension to ".gameproj".

I will add .gsdailyproj support to the next version of the tool.

Yes I did do that, nothing happened. But I think it's not working in general for me. Just starting up the app it does it's refresh thing, shows nothing (doesn't matter if I have a project in the project folder or not) then I manually hit the refresh, a moment later it beachballs on me, have to force quit.

Running Mac Pro laptop 2.4 GHz iCore i7 8GB ram.
Haven't tried it on my imac yet. ( I also fresh installed it)

    @GS_Master
To open a project move it to /Applications/GSCSEFree/GS CSE Projects folder.

    Hey,

the application won't work for me. I'm running 10.9 Mavericks on both my iMac late 2013 and my MacBook Pro retina 15" late 2013. The app is all white, shows no refresh button. I've put a couple of nightly & stable-build projects into the folder, but nothing shows up.

Is this a Mavericks bug? Your editor would help me a lot! Thanks :)
I have the same problem since upgrading to Mavericks.

Amazing. $50 is a bit much though.

If it saves you several hours laying out scenes in GameSalad manually then it can't be that bad.

Can you export the x/y's to csv @Manto1 ?
  • MantoManto Member Posts: 796
@PBEmpire There are no big changes to the app. Just some optimizations and bug fixes. However, I'm going to start adding new features soon.

@Loaded There's currently no way to do that, but it can be added as a new feature. Is that all you want to export? Only x&y values in the order actors are placed?

Might aswell be able to export everything, other people might find it useful if they can export width, height and rotation too. That way we can have the scene information in tables :-D

    Added
    • csv export:
    - Exports actors' x, y, width, height, and rotation

  • beefy_clyrobeefy_clyro Member Posts: 5,394
How about an import so after you've exported, if you then change the values, reimport, it moves to the new values? Or just be able to see like a live preview of the csv that you could change on the fly without needing to export … that would be super useful
