So I guess now my questions to the GS Team are:

    1) Does Greenlighting mean Game Salad now has the option to integrate and offer API tools like Steam Cards?
    2) If so, when would be appropriate for us to start requesting and voting on Steam API features?

Yes, and now. It would actually be extremely helpful to know how important the community ranks things like Steam achievements & cards, etc vs, say, Apple TV or other highly-requested features.

    For everyone's voting needs:
    Steam Cards - http://bugs.gamesalad.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1520

Cards can be enabled for any steam game. There's no need to do some code integration, everything you need to enable cards is done in browser on steamworks portal.

Steam Cloud for save files also can be enabled easily. GameSalad just need to be able to create savefile to store save information. Preferably in specific location in your OS, that Steam Cloud supports.

p.s. Congrats! Steam support has been my dream number one wanted feature for years.

You could, in theory, already develop a native Mac app that could be submitted to Steam.

You can't publish Mac only or Linux only game. You have to have windows version, otherwise, you'll not be able to publish game on steam.

@imGua so the mobile game that I'm working on now I wouldn't be able to submit? It was going to be for Windows and ios

At the moment, no other Steamworks API-specific feature requests seem to be in, only requests for Steamworks API support in general. So if people want Matchmaking, VAC, Leaderboards, Steam Cloud, Inventory Access, Workshop Creation, or whatever; those can still be added. These are simply the four I specifically want.

Thanks for making those. Voted on some.

At the moment, you can't export game for Windows. Windows 8 Store export doesn't count, cause you need to have *.exe file and Windows 8 Store export doesn't provide it.

Sorry to update this years old thread, but does the new gs windows version export for steam and windows 10 store? I am planning not to go for the ios route because of the yearly membership and because I do not have a mac.

You can try and wrap an html5 game using cordova or something similar, but there is no direct to .exe support. This is the thing that I wish we had more than anything else! So sad it never came to pass.

I guess I have to pay someone to upload a game to Steam then. (Gshelper.com) Makes me feel like a game isn't even worth trying to put on Steam.... But I am still going to try and get my game on Steam, even if it is in a couple of years.
